Dr. Henry Wu created a hybrid variety of flowering plant, Karacosis wutansis, which he presents to the International Society of Geneticists. This achievement attracts international media attention and arouses the curiosity of the son of the late  Sanjay Masrani, Simon Masrani, the new head of Masrani Global Corporation, formerly Mascom Network, for the acquisition of InGen then bankrupt. John Hammond is too sick to move and will therefore not see Wu’s prowess.
