A covert operation on Isla Nublar is started in 1993 and ended a year later by  InGen in order to cleanup the sensitives facilities and report the surviving cloned specimens after the 1993 Jurassic Park incident. In their report, they documented the state of the park and noted that despite a decrease of populations, a relatively stable and reliable ecosystem had been established. The operation was infiltrated by BioSyn as part of Project Footprint in an effort to locate useable DNA samples.
